Re: roundin my bed

well i really wantd a fleet side but this is what i have...i like the look of a ssr so i decide to kinda make my own verison of the ssr ..i'm kinda still thinkin on wether or not to cut off top of the bed rail cause i know it'll take the top of the bed down a few inches but my dad has some ideas on how to fix that woth some kind of bed cover cause i'm goin to install a fuel cell and a bed cover later on i'm goin weld up the gas doors and fill in the low area in front of the rear fenders so its flush with outside of the bed .. kina hard to explain lol and i gotta weld in a patch from where we widen the bed at the front of the bed and gotta finsh shavin the steps and weldin them in and finsh weldin in the fender wells to the bed lots of lil stuff oh i wanna put air ride later on also Name: Picture 018.jpg

Re: roundin my bed

this is my dads idea to build a swoop right over the fuel cell which is right behind the cab and build a bed cover to sit over the bed to make up for cuttin the bed rail Name: 11.jpg

Moved cab forward about 2-3 inches on this one. Would be shorter wheelbase.

I think it looks fine with the current front end. If it was an 81-87 then maybe it would be too square but the body line on your front fenders is roundish and I think matches the rear fenders just fine. I like it. I think you should cut off the bed rails and put a flat bed cover on it to keep the smooth look. just my $0.02...
