Gage panel disassembly?

How in the heck do you take the gage panel off a 65 c10 I want to take it off so I can paint the black trim piece. I took off the screws in the front. What else is there that has to be taken off so it will pull right out?

Re: Gage panel disassembly?

You will have to remove the headlight switch. Push the little spring loaded button on the back. I believe the lights have to be in park but I forgot. Then pull out the shaft. The wiper switch is easier and also the ignition switch. If you have a choke remove it and remove the wire for the cig lighter.

Re: Gage panel disassembly?

dont forget the speedo cable, and if you have an oil gage you have to take the feed line off as well.
hope this helps.
