Would you use this spline adapter?
here is a pic of the spline adapter I got with my 205 transfercase adapter for my SM465 swap. Would you use this or scrap it and get a new one? The splines on the other side are perfect. Which side receives more abuse, the tcase or the trans?

I know the pictures are terrible, but its the best I can do with my cheapie camera.

Last I heard you could still get one of those from your local GM parts department for about $50.
Really hard to tell from the pics how bad it is but the way I look at it, I'd gladly pay $50 to not have to yank the transfer case out to replace that coupler sleeve later on.

from the pics it looks ok to me... but i got mine for 50 bucks from this place..
http://www.tbtrans.com/transfer_case.htm they had good service.... here is what my old coupler and shaft looked like...the tcase side was good.. had to replace the main shaft on the tranny... Last edited by lowe137; 06-01-2009 at 07:56 PM. |

mine looked like lowe317's except on the t-case end. i had to replace the input gear on the transfer
