What do you think about these rims?

I like the rims, not sure if I like them on my truck though. The photoshop job isn't the best, but it was my first time.

My other option will be the Coys C-5 or the Boss 338, just need to see if I can get a 4.5" backspacing in 18". I was looking for a 10" or wider rim so I can run a 315/35/18 Hoosier drag radial.

I like the wheels, and I like your truck, but I really don't like the two of them together.

Whats wrong with the ones you have?

Re: What do you think about these rims?

Torq Thrust are WAY over-used.......BUT THEY LOOK GOOD ON JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING!!!!

I love salt flats but I dont care for them on that truck for some reason. I think the need a much deeper off set to look right on a truck!

My vote is the torq thrust but maybe find some with some color in them instead of all chrome?.

Re: What do you think about these rims?

I agree. The Salt Flats are sweet wheels, but for some reason just don't look right on the truck. It may just be the actual pic used for photoshop. They just don't look deep enough.

The Torque Thrusts are used a lot, but that's because they look amazing!

Re: What do you think about these rims?

Thanks for all the responses. I agree with most of you that the rims look good but not on my truck.

I am installing a C4 dropmember so I need to change at least the front rims (5x4.75). I figured I might as well change all four and go a bit bigger. I want to fill in the wheel wells a bit more as well.

Re: What do you think about these rims?

I think the salt flat style rims would look good. I think its the tire size in the chop that is throwing everone off. Get some tires with more sidewall than in the picture and it'll look great.

Those are a favorite wheel style of mine. But I agree with the others, they don't really work with your truck that well.

Re: What do you think about these rims?

Guys those aren't AR Salt Flats. They are Centerline "Boulevard" frm the Sundance series. They make the centers polished and grey.

I think they look sweet. I just wished they were available with the soft lip.

And - I think your truck is sweet, too -

Re: What do you think about these rims?

American Racing decided to NOT make their popular Salt Flat wheels in 5x5 pattern anymore. ( I was originally going to put a set on the blazer before I bagged it)
Plus,... the last I remember,... you could only get up to a 17" wheel.
I'm not sure what's going on at AR,... but they are losing good customers, in my opinion.

Re: What do you think about these rims?

I think I have gathered a good feel for what you like. I think those wheels will look alot better than the photoshop.
I have always liked this one a little better though. It is a Billet Specialties Bonneville

When looking at there site to get the name of that wheel, I came across this one that I think is new. I like it alot.

I think you should also check out Vintage Wheel Works. Here are some of there wheels. They make them to order and come as wide as 11", but only 17" tall. They are very reasonably priced.

I've been trying to get somebody to put these on a square body for a long time. You can get them without the three bar knockoff, then they wouldn't look so much like a shelby wheel.

EXACTLY! The Salt Flats do need a taller sidewall. They have that same classic look as old Halibrands, at a lower cost. And look oh so much better than those ugly Torque Thrust's with the rounded spokes (every Tom, Dick and Harry put 'em on everything).....the older style straight spoke TQ's look way better.
I'd take any wheel by American over a Coy's.....
