Tranny help

Hey guys,
Noob to the chevy world. Just picked up a 77 lwb. It needs some transmission work. It is hard to find the gears (reverse, drive) and it leaks alot. Should i find a shop to rebuild this one or buy this.

Find out what transmission you have first and go from there.

Re: Tranny help

TCI builds a damn nice tranny, they are durable, and you can get them from summit or jegs. get the truck tranny though, the one that is setup for towing, not for racing.

Re: Tranny help

Hey guys, thanks for all your replies. I am taking it that i should definitely pass on that tranny for sale and go with a rebuild. I actually found a local shop that I might go with. i was just wasnt sure if that was a good deal i shouldn't pass up. Thanks for saving me from a possible mistake!
