My 383 is alive!

I finally got my new engine fired up after I found the right u joint for my 75 stepside which I swapped from a 350/SM465 to a 383/TH350 combo. Had my wife watch the tach and work the throttle for 30 min to break in the cam while I scurried around adding coolant, atf, checking for leaks etc. Nothing beats the smell of fresh paint baking on a new engine... i don't have a shifter in yet but took it down the road and back yesterday, by working the shift linkage bracket on the trans by hand through the hole in the floor where the old 4speed used to be. Just couldn't wait I guess...LOL.
