Break ? for 66
I put power brakes from a 72 chevy truck on my 66. Now my problem is my brake pedel is to far away from the little push rod for the power brakes. What push rod should i use or what pedal should i use and does anybody have a set up they would want to sell?

I've not done this type of brake conversion, but there should be some adjustment on the rod. If this is not enough then you will have to combine your original brake pushrod with the one for the '72 booster by either mechanical means or by welding. I'm not aware of anyone that makes one ready-made that you could buy.

What Captainfab said - I measured mine and took both ends (66 pedal end, 83 m/c-booster end) to a NAPA with a machine shop and they welded it for $15. I think the later model one had some thread adjustment left for fine-tuning length

Hey Cosmo,
Like the other guys said you need to Fab up a rod extender probably. Here is the one I made for the same situation. I used a 1971 booster. I moved the pedal connection down 1" to get the correct "leverage" on the pedal. Note that it is important not to get the rod adjusted too long. The return path of the fluid to the resevoir is opened in the last bit of pedal travel. If the rod is too long the fluid can't return and pressure builds up which can lead to brakes locking while driving, not good. Pay no attention to the fly by wire pedal, that's another story.
