1980 camaro front clip?
ive heard of the older trucks (pre 67) running camaro front clips i have a 70 gmc and my buddy has a 1980 chevy camaro Z28 he's pretty sure its transferable ive heard of 1985 truck front clips being more compatible almost direct bolt in minus drilling a few extra hole?
the car has and awesome powertrain buckets etc and if the front suspension plopped in it would be even better cause of the upgrades to brakes and power steering etc. can it be done? fairly easly? my buddy also is a welder by trade so any brckets etc isnt a big deal |

the Camaro front clip is not a bolt-in modification ...

No. Do a search in this forum for details. There's LOTS of information here if you spend a little time doing your research.

Re: 1980 camaro front clip?
There was a time when grafting front clips was common. It was a solution to getting a vehicle low and adding modern suspension along with disc brakes. That was before there were so many kits on the market to do the same job without cutting your frame up.
Find a 73-87 C-10 donor and swap it in your 70. That's they way to go.

Re: 1980 camaro front clip?
Probably the ones with HD brakes. Easiest way to find those is get your parts from a Burb. They all had HD brakes.

Re: 1980 camaro front clip?
the second gen F body clip has bad geometry copared to the C10 geometry.... like mentioned above, just get a 73+ crossmember and bolt it in

Re: 1980 camaro front clip?
And finding a clip that you could use off a 2nd gen f body will be pricey now.
