ece tranny mount install???

I just bought an ece(early classic) tranny mount from guy and I had a 6cyl in the truck with a 3 speed. I want to know if any one knows what holes it lines up with for a 700r tranny??? if ther is a thread I'm sorry I looked but couldnt find.... thank you for the help

It may depend on which holes are being used for the front motor mounts (usually depends on what engine is installed). I had to drill new holes for my 700r4 crossmember. I'd just install the tranny, bolt the crossmember to it and see where the holes end up. You might get lucky...

If it was a 3-speed before the manual trans mount is riveted to the frame, but not positive they didn't go ahead and drill the holes for suto mount anyways?? As said above install eveything where you want it and drill holes as necessary.

thanks for the info!!!! I knew before I asked just thought maybe someone has been there before... I wont have the money for my tranny to be done for a while so I play the wating game...

Here's something that helped me find out if I needed to drill new holes in my truck for the new crossmember, also from ECE. We took the dimensions from previous tranny and engine combos that I knew were installed in the 67-72 trucks. And took measurements from my combo 396 Big block with a 2004R, and see if i got match. Luckily I did, and when I went into installing the tranny and engine, everything bolted up with no new holes to drill. Here is a website that i used
