85 cab
This is probably a really stupid question but a cab I just bought from a reputable ebay seller for these trucks, has had the VIN placard removed, it has a platte riveted to the drivers side door jamb specifing it was a USDA forestry truck is there any other place to look, or am I screwed???

Re: 85 cab
I think as long as you have a bill of sale for the cab and good paperwork on the vehicle you are repairing, you should be able to contact the state and get them to give you an assigned VIN or a builder's title.

Re: 85 cab
Otherwise you would have to get a reconstructed type title (depending on state laws).
