Frame length `Burb and C10 longbed ??!

Hello again,

does anybody know if the frame of an 1980 Suburban 2 WD is exactly the same as a frame of an 1980 C10 longbed truck ??
I mean, I would like to know if I could make a pickup truck (C10 longbed) out of an suburban ??

Any help appreciated !!

Re: Frame length `Burb and C10 longbed ??!

The wheelbases are different. The suburban is slightly shorter by only a couple inches. It might work but your rear tires would not be centered in the fender.
Reg Cab Lonbed Wheelbase= 131.5"
Suburban= 129.5"

I do not know the difference in overall frame length though. To me the suburban looks longer behind the rear tires, but maybe is just perception...
