new inside tailgate latches

i decided to try these hood latches for big rigs out on my tailgate, and they seem to work.

You Oriental or sumpin?

What kind of cable link you thinking about? It seems like if a guy used some of the new cables it would all work.........with a little work. I got a '63 SWB that I'm wanting to shave the chains on.

i was thinking about cable but i am not sure of how well it will tuck back up inside when the tailgate closes. so I was going to attempt to make some out of flat bar and have them pivot. that will be a next week sometime project. you should put a pic of your truck up for all to see.

Oooohhhhh,flat bar! That'd be even better. I'll post some pics up as soon as I get my 14 year old daughter to show me how...

No, its loose and rotates on the bolts. I think you can get these cables just about anywhere...I dont remember what they are off. They have been on here a few years and bend the right way. I dont remember if when new they got in the way or not.
