painting?
do i need highheat paint for painting a intake manifold?
or can i just use metal paint with a clear coat?

I've painted a few with regular single stage automotive paint.
The clear might turn yellow, but I say go for it.

I use wheel paint with good results . Steel Wheels paint or the new Dupli Color wheel paints (Wal-Mart sells it )have had good results . Here is what it looks like after cleaning and paint.

yeah, don't clear it. The heat yellows clears, even high temp clears.

Frank, that intake looks better than a lot of aluminumumumumum ones I have seen ran for about 20,000 miles. Nice!
