1972 Dana 44 brake caliper banjo bolt size

I have searched and came up with two different sizes. 7/16- 20 and 7-16- 24. I want to replace the banjo style fitting to an -3AN fitting for steel braided brake lines. Anybody know the right size? I could always check the banjo bolt that I have, but I dont have a thread checker, and I am too lazy to drive to a place to check Thanks!!

i think earls has adapters the use a banjo fitting with -3an on the end , and you just use the stock bolt.

That might work. Curious to why I need to use a banjo instead of just an adapter to convert to AN? Is it just and easier application?

FWIW, I just realized the bolt size is the same as the lug nuts on the 4wd, so if anybody knows this size, it would help. Thanks.
