Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

I think what Chevy did in the was use shims on the upper control arm. That's a lot of camber on that truck in the pic. It's obviously created by how low the truck is and I don't know how safe it is to shove a ton of shims in there to straighten it out. There were no more than a quarter inch of shims in either side of mine from the factory.

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

alot of times stuff like that will straighten up at ride hieght,I think the best way is to get custom control arms that are designed to work with the different angles of a radically lowered suspension.

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

Hey Bigpimp,

Yea, that is a big negative camber. As mentioned, if bushings and ball joints are in good shape camber is adjusted using equal shims front and back on the upper A-arm attachments. You can measure with one of those plastic magnetic angle gage levels, using a straight bar against the wheels.

The spec. is +0 deg. 17 min. of angle, that is pretty much straight up.

Negative camber at ride height will tend to induce oversteer in a turn, not good.

Re: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp

BigPimp,

Should be room for 1/2" of shims or more.
