New Toy 67 SWB
New here. New to this forum thing too. I just wanted to show some pics of my new toy. Believe it or not the guy I bought this from had a lot of money in this thing.
Old 350/3spd removed 67 327 Impala motor found and rebuilt (camel hump motor) 700R4 trans found and rebuilt Front Disc Brake Conversion w/power brakes Front 2.5 drop spindles Front 1 inch drop springs Rear 4 inch drop springs All front end pieces replaced (joints, ends, bushings ect..w/tubular upper arms) New radiator New "I Did It" steering column I'm sure I missed some things. The guy put all the money in it and then it sat for 5 years till I got it. One receipt was for over $11,000 from the shop that did all the work. I have many receipts for other parts. |

Re: New Toy 67 SWB
Looks like a pretty solid truck to me. Everything new on the truck is drivetrain and suspension, all you need is a little paint and body. Im in the same boat with mine.

Re: New Toy 67 SWB
Yes, most work you can't see. The PO had sent it to a shop in VA to have all the engine, trans, suspension work done. I believe they had it for about 5 months. The cab corners seem OK. Floors have a little rust. Rockers are pretty bad. There is a little rust on the drip rail above the blower motor. There seems to be some damage to the area on the back of the cab on the drivers side. I'm sure there will some more areas of concern as I get into it. Overall, it seems like a good truck to work with. It was originally from Texas. From there it went to Georgia, then Virginia and Maryland.

Re: New Toy 67 SWB
Looks like a solid foundation. It wouldn't bother me to drive it as is.
