Added truck #2 to the stable... ***caution big pics***
Complete with Northeast body rot.
The guy wanted $800 for it... after a few emails, I had him down to $450. When I went to look at it/buy it... I decided it was too much work. He dropped the price to $300. I couldn't resist. I can't decide what to do with it now... I have a '67 small window 2wd longbed c20 with a 6cyl / 3spd... and was thinking of swapping the 67 cab & sheetmetal over to the 72 c10 frame. Both trucks need rockers, corners and mounts. Decisions decisions. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And... a pic of my '67 ![]() |

The front bumper and grill looks pretty nice, and the AC dash.
could sell some parts and make your money back. Seems like a lot of rust to try and work around, with, through.

Re: Added truck #2 to the stable... ***caution big pics***
nice score on the 72, its got nice looking interior and factory air too, is that the original radio on the seat
maybe this is just me but i would take the int, and the ac, and any other parts scavengable and use the frame with the 67 body to make a 5 lug ac 67, with nice int for cheap either way nice 67 and good deal on the 72 good luck with em

I REALLY like the 67's with the small window... and this '72 has everything I need, like power discs, power steering, 350, auto, ac, etc... I think I may gut the '72 cab for parts... and pull the body off the frame. Then I'll swap all the 67 stuff over to the 72 chassis. Too bad I already got those 6-lug Vette wheels on the 67 though... that was a waste of money. Last edited by Yullose; 06-10-2009 at 01:09 AM. |

First things first... become a supporting board member (it's only $25); then....
Part that sucker out and get your $300+ back out of it. ![]() Nice score on the '72!

^^^^ I agree do the body swap, become a member and part out the unused parts, you could unload those 6 lug rally's easily.....

Re: Added truck #2 to the stable... ***caution big pics***
I'm not getting rid of anything any time soon.
![]() My 67 had the wrong front end on it (69/70) and I'm still gathering the correct sheetmetal for it. I sold off the pair of 70 fenders a few weeks ago for $80... and now wish I had kept the dang things. I found a 67 hood within a couple hours of here for $150... but I still need the correct rad support, LF fender and hood latch. Once I have all the correct stuff gathered up, maybe I'll start selling. ![]() |

Re: Added truck #2 to the stable... ***caution big pics***
As far as I know, you will have to buy aftermarket. ECE, CPP and LMC all sell the 6 lug rotors that are a direct fit to the disc spindles.

Here's a few more 67 pics...
They are both pretty rough, but I still like the 67 better. If I was smart, I'd dump both of them and buy one thats already done... but I'm not that smart. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() and 2 more of the 72. ![]() ![]() |

The twin to your newly acquired 72 is sitting a few miles from me. It looks to be in about the same condition. It's been up on blocks and under a tarp for a few months. I'm just waiting for the "FOR SALE" sign to go up.

EGR valve and HEI on the 6cyl? Not the original engine I take it. Was it originally a 6 or a V8?
