Battery Tray Differences 67-72
Can someone educate me on the differences between the different year's battery tray?
I know there was a difference between A/C vs. Non-A/C, but IIRC there were also differences between the years as well. Thanks in advance guys! Nate

Re: Battery Tray Differences 67-72
I'm pretty sure the only difference is air/no air, I've swapped out trays before and never had an issue.

Re: Battery Tray Differences 67-72
Awesome, thanks for the info Chris! I'm getting ready to hunt down an original rust free tray and wanted to make sure I wasn't going to end up with the wrong one.

Re: Battery Tray Differences 67-72
$120 (non a/c) to $160 (a/c) buys you a stainless steel battery tray from lmc truck. or for only a few bucks you can get the clamp, bolt and washer in stainless from lmc. wish they would include them with the battery tray as well as sell seperate. mine is rusted from a battery leak back in the day (previous owner) and so the back edge (behind the headlights) that pins down the battery is rotted away. i could get a new tray from lmc for $50 but it is something that will catch water and rot out again. i like to spend my money on things that last, even if they cost a bit more. i am replacing a lot of bolts with stainless on my 72 suburban.

I know a clean original will match your truck, but if you're interested I'll sell you a new repop I don't need for dirt cheap.
