brake/spindle question
im getting ready to order suspension parts and i got a question. right now on my truck i got 1" rotors and im wanting to got to 1 1/4" inch rotors so what is involved with doing this just get spindles that are for 1 1/4" rotors. and i shouldn't have to change the ball joints or anything.

Re: brake/spindle question
i'm almost positive that the only difference is the size/length of the shaft on the spindle. for the bigger rotors the shaft is 4 1/2"-4 3/8" and the smaller rotors are 4"-4 1/4".
someone correct me if im wrong. everything else including ball joints is the same.

Re: brake/spindle question
you'll need larger wheel bearings, calipers, and different brake hose

Re: brake/spindle question
You will need everything that is mounted to the spindle, including bearings, rotor, and caliper.

Re: brake/spindle question
Are the spindles, bearings and calipers the same on the 3/4 ton (knowing the rotors are different due to the 8 bolts)? Isn't the difference in the control arm side of the ball joint? A lot more scrapped 3/4's around here.
