Hummer wheels

Planning on running 40x13.5R17LT Goodyear wrangler mt/r's on my rig. It seems hard to find many options for HD wheels in this size. Trail Ready makes a 17x10, but they are really pricey. I need wheels to fit the 8 lug dana 60 and the 14blt axles I'm planning on swapping in. What about some recentered hummer wheels? What would work the best with this type of setup? And what has to happen to get the best offset for this size tire/combo?

Re: Hummer wheels

Why not run some H2's?

These are 37X17 MTR's.

Re: Hummer wheels

I don't know jack about the hummer wheels. So the H2's are 17", and the H1's are 16.5" eh? Will the H2's fit without modifiying or what? Also how wide are they?

H2s are 17 X 8.5" with a 5 5/8" backspacing. They will fit on any 8 lug GM.

Re: Hummer wheels

Cool, thank's guy's! That helps a little. Still looking for the right wheel. H2 at 8.5" wide might be a bit narrow for a 13.5' wide tire? Anybody got more pic's with a 1 ton setup?

Re: Hummer wheels

I've been running my 42/15 TSL's on 9.75" wheels & they're fine.

Always liked running 12.5" tires on 8" wheels to.

Re: Hummer wheels

Well, sounds like maybe a set of H2's are in my future! I priced the trailready wheels and they are like $350.00 each! What are the H2's made of? I would assume they are kinda heavy? Also, 5&5/8" backspacing, is that just about right for the k5?

Re: Hummer wheels

H2s are aluminum so they are pretty light for a big wheel with a big weight rating. 5 5/8" backspacing on a 8 1/2" wheel is factory stock offset for any 8 lug GM truck (single rear wheel models) so they will work good on a Blazer with GM 8 lug axles under it.

Re: Hummer wheels

Sounds good so far, I think I"m on the right track! Any special spacer's or lug nut setup I need to know about? Not looking for center caps or anything fancy just some good HD wheels!

Re: Hummer wheels

I bought a set off of ebay, they literally bolt right up, use your 8-lug lugnuts and you are good to go.

Re: Hummer wheels

I saw a set of 5 locally on craigslist for $300, sounded a little high to me. I do like the look of them and my K5 does need to be rid of its split rim 16"s at some point so I've been keeping my eyes open.
