AM/FM radio mounting
Does anyone know or have pics of how the factory am/fm radio mounts in our trucks to the speaker bracket? I have am radios to compare but the am/fm does not have the same little tab coming off for the support bracket.

I've never installed an AM/FM, but looking at at least on example on the bay, it looks like they should have the same or similar mounting tab on the back. They use the same speaker so I would think the mounting would be the same.

Solve the problem and go with a customer auto sound stereo with a dual voice coil speaker.

If your AM/FM does not have that tab like the AM, it must be out of a van.

They mount identically. Take one of the tabs from an AM radio and put it on the AM/FM. As stated previously, the radio is probably out of a van. If the antenna mount is angled on the bottom, and the Delco print is in block letters on the lens it is from a van. The station number font is also slightly different. No biggie, they have the same guts. I actually prefer the van AM/FM because the antenna is easier to plug in if you have an A/C truck.

Gotta be van. Knew someone on hare would know! My antennae hole is angled. Guess I will just fab a bracket. Thanks guys!
