I got more work done on the truck today

I got the intake bolted down and as you can see in the pictures I kept going. I must say. It was alot of pieces but very fun to put together.

Looks nice. What's the scoop on the serp set-up? Did you get it from GM or a wrecked truck?

Re: I got more work done on the truck today

Ordered it brand new from Summit (yeah I bit the bullet on that one). I figure everything is new and I didn't have to clean anything. it is a GM Performance part. They also have the kit without the A/C compressor.

Agreed. They make some dress up stuff for the a/c comp & pwr steering resevoir that can be painted/slicked. Add a polished/painted/slicked alt & you look good @ 1/2 the cost of the other offerings. You can also add some UD pulleys for a little perf boost too.

The one benefit w/some of the others is they're more compact.

Re: I got more work done on the truck today

I forgot to show a before picture of the firewall from before. I think the new one looks a bit better then the old. I still have the SB sitting on an engine stand. I will probably get another truck to stick it in but as a work truck.

The firewall looks a lot cleaner now. Your whole truck is looking good as well....... and not just because I'm partial to blue.
