Anyone heard much about HRU?
Let me just say, I love this website and forum. Collectively, you have all had a hand in my new obsession with my truck and I blame you for why I can't sleep at night because I'm constantly deciphering all this new knowledge at the best time ever....when I'm in bed! I've always wanted a 67-72 truck ever since I was in HS and now have my 69 which is going to be a lot of work. Which is good, because it's a learning experience.
I was curious, has anyone looked into, heard or know anyone that has attended Hot Rod Institute in Rapid City, S.D.? I am whole heartedly inspired but what I see of the great craftsmanship and willingness to experiment from those of you in this community. I have no knowledge of engines, body work, drive trains or electrical. So, it makes it tough as I don't know anyone else that I can be a sponge and soak information off of in my personal life. So, I have considered going to school for it. The reason I am looking into HRU is because of closeness as well as they offer a custom motorcycle class, as that is something that really inspires me. So I figure why not do both? I have no problem taking out a loan to learn this trade/hobby/career as it's always been something that I've wanted to be a part of. Just wanting to know if anyone had any thoughts on it? Thanks! |
