flip kit rear shocks

I just puchased a 77 with rear flip kit relocating the springs under the axle without c notch. It appears to have stock rear shocks and rides horrible. Would shorter shocks make this better or would I need longer shocks?

you will need shorter shocks. I have the nitro2 drop shocks on my '74 with 6 in. Drop in the back, it also has a flip kit. Also make sure that the rear end is not bottomed out on the bump stop bracket.

Re: flip kit rear shocks

you could always get shock extenders and use factory replacement shocks

Re: flip kit rear shocks

thanks guys, It also has drop springs in front, The guy said 4" springs but I do not think they make that much drop just with springs. I measured from ground to bottom of fender and it was 28inches. Shorter shocks there also?
