Re: 3 speed to 4 speed

i did this in my 68, i had a 3 speed with a floor shifter, i used a saginaw 4 speed out of a 67 camaro, everything bolted up the same just had to get a new shifter and swap the input bearing cover from the 3 speed to the 4 speed, the one off the car 4 speed is to small for the truck bellhousing. but that was just 4 bolts and some sylicone to re seal it, the drive shaft was the same, i just had the rewire the backup switch, on the 3 speed it is on the steering columb and the 4 speed it had a switch on the trans, that was an easy fix, just splice the wires from the 3 speed switch the the ones on the tranny.
any onter questions just let me know, there are also a few pics in my build.
