Re: brake booster question

Well, I'm not good at powerbrakes really. Here's what Im wondering, maybe the brackets will work up to 87 trucks, if so just hit up salvage yards and get the bracket, problem solved. You talking about the bracket that bolts to your firewall and has 4 bolts holding it in? That then bolts to your new booster. Maybe someone will post that knows for sure but you may get that bracket from up to a 87 truck and that should be easily found for you.

Re: brake booster question

I'm not sure, but the 3/4 ton and the 1/2 ton brackets might be a little different - I know the boosters are. Don't ask me how I know.

Re: brake booster question

I think the boosters up to 87 have integrated brackets. My booster is from an '89 suburban and the bracket were part of of the unit. I have to slot the holes to make it work.
