lucky craigslist story- 72 jimmy
hello gentlemen... my 72 jimmy build began actually with a 77 blazer, ill explain. being a craigslist whore i found a 77 blazer, completely stock and a 4spd. the add said blown motor take out of my driveway. 800 $ers later im towing home this blazer. even though the guy said blown motor i want to try to turn it over anyways. i tell u what that was the smartest decision ive ever made, the knocking sound that the guy heard was not a blown motor, it was the fly wheel hitting a dust cover on the bell housing, a slight adjusting to the carb and fresh gas the motor ran fine. holly sh**. with the money i saved i was able to put an 8inch lift 3/4 ton disk brakes all around.
now being a bigger fan of the 1st gen. blazer my plan was to sell the 77 and buy one. well my buddy got ahold of a 72 jimmy stock, no motor 4spd tranny in back. with a little convincing we traded, i got to keep the 3/4 ton with disk brakes. so thats how i got my 72 jimmy, a year later its got a 402bb 8in lift the said 3/4 ton with disk brakes, and 38in superswampers radials. i will get more pics 2nit thanks for reading my story Last edited by daddys72jimmy; 06-19-2009 at 01:51 PM.
