plug wires

this may be a dumb question,

any harm in using 2 different plug wires, just put in headers and the best fit was to use straight boot 4,6,8,3,5,7 and 90 degree on 1,2 this allowed me to run 1 and 2 under the mounts and up the back side of the heads, the are both 8mm going to hei but they are different brands, also why Im at it, this is my first time with headers and was wondering why they get so hot so fast, my simple brain figured with better air flow they might be cooler, hedman ceramic going to flowmaster, thanks
