Need an experienced motorhead to help adjust and tune engine in Houston, TX

I have a 454 BB, bored .030 over.
Its a long block.

I need to start it and want to see if any experienced mechanics would come and do this for me.

It needs rockers adjusted, install intake, carb, fuel pump, and other minor stuff...

Im located on the East side of Houston.

Or do you guys have any suggestion on a reputable shop.

Thanks

I would have know Idea what he would charge. He does this as a Hobby and runs a oil recycling business. Don't know for sure about the misc stuff you want done but you looking at the better part of a day sounds like. John is pretty hyper and get stuff done quick most of the time. He knows his crap on how to make them fast. I will ask him

I finally got a hold of him. He is starting a new Shell oil distributing company and has been busy. He said if you want to bring it over it would be about Tuesday or Wednesday of this week before he could do it if you haven't had it done yet. He said about $200

he said about an hour to do the valves intake and carb as long as you have the parts

Well that sound like a good deal to me. At this time I have the rearend off because Im in fab process, but as soon as I get the chassy rolling I will put it in the trailer and haul it over. I have some technical question of what are the parts that need to be on there before any other work can be done, so if I could get a contact number in order to proceed in the right direction. I dont want to take him a incomplete engine and waste his time.

I will pm you with my information.

Thanks for the help,
Simon
