Custom Camper seat belts

I have a 1970 GMC High Sierra, Custom Camper, 3/4 ton, 350 cc ,4 barrel. It belonged to my Dad. It was used to haul our camper for 20 years, until the camper became to old.
I have inherited the truck and my wife would like me to upgrade the seat belts to include shoulder straps. Is it possible to install them and where would I get them?

Thanks
Bruce

up on the cab rear section is to plugs that come out..right where the straps would hang .There is already a threaded hole to put them in...if it was me id just find nice late model ones and just run them..just be careful with the set you choose to use tho cause if they were involved in a crash they strech and weaken

Re: Custom Camper seat belts

if you hav stae run safety inspections, you may wanna look into what there take is on the way the federal laws are written in this regard.
Technicly, stock replacements and licensed kits are all you can install. The stock ones... you'll never want to wear them... and I am not sure if any of the kits are licensed for actual use.
99% of the inspectors and 99.9% of the officers would neverr notice, or even know. But every once in a while someone who knows will say something.
I had to remove later model belts in texas once due to an inspector who knew his stuff.

If you decide to get three point seatbelts: www.gemstreetrods.com
This guy has the best prices on them, and they are the same ones LMC, Brothers, etc sell for almost twice the price.

7/16-14 is the bolt that you'll need for the upper anchors.

I was anal about wanting the GM buckles, so I went the junkyard route. I now have two 3-point belts and a center lap belt from a '94 Delta 88. I had to fab the lower mounts; you're probably better with aftermarket from that regard.
