70 gmc
I just purchased this truck and it will be home at my place on friday.
1970 GMC with an 8 foot flat bed on the back. It has a 350 and automatic. It actually runs pretty good. I think it has a vaccuum line messed up because it idles a little funny. Could be the vaccuum line that has the screw in it by the carb. The cab is in really good shape. Just a little rust through on the pax side door jamb. Im thinking lowered with a stepside bed and canary yellow would look sweet and all emblems shaved. Ill know more friday when I have it towed home. I have been going over the builds here all weekend and have seen a lot of good ideas. Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself a little.. The names Kevin... Thanks, got it for a lot less than whats on the window. I cant wait to get it home friday and tear into it.
Things needed to get it road worthy: Muffler, it only has one right now. Fix the vaccuum leak so it will idle better. Make sure all the lights work. And fix the brakes, the pedal seems soft to me. This is the DD for now. 2008 Dodge magnum. 3.2 v6. although I wish I had the Hemi. |

I would like to put a stepside on it and get rid of the flat bed. shave all the crome, door handles and key locks and suicide doors. peep mirrors. Canary yellow pearl paint. drop it at least 4 inches. Relocate gas tank. recess tails with hidden gas cap behind the lights. Thats what I want to do just off hand, Im sure it will turn out to be so much more than that in the end.

Well got my truck home today. Its in prettty good shape. Was last registered on the road two years ago. I need to replace the muffler on the pax side and fix the horn and the high beems and Ill have it on the road. It needs a lot of work but no where as much as some of the trucks being restored on here. I took a few new pics for your consideration but I keep getting an error message when I try to upload them. Mostly surface rust but the pax cab corner has been fixed but I wont know how until I tear off all the bondo. and the pax threshold needs to be replaced.

yeah Im hoping to pull it off and sell it to finance a lot of the restore/rebuild. I would like to put a stepside on it but will probably be a long bed.
