what size is the bolt or nut that is on the front of the engine where u can hand crank it so i can get it to true top dead center.. i can barely get fingers in there so...

Are you talking the crank bolt? I believe 3/4". Listen....you don't have to get it "that" close as long as the dist goes back in the same place.

oh i didnt know that .. my bad.. but i dont know because i yanked the old one out a few days before and im not sure if somebody turned the key so i was just gonna be safe then sorry

If it is a small block, it is a 7/16" bolt, fine thread, I think 24 threads per inch. The hex size should be 5/8".
