Need some help with change to 71 chevy 4 wheel to 2 wheel

Hi I'M new to this site Ihave a 71 chevy and thinking of lowering it and putting 18 ' or 20' inch wheels on it .what size tire ? and wheel off set ? and bolt pattern 5 lug. thank you . the truck is currenty 4 wheel drive on 37 inch tires it will be a big change for me .

Make sure you resize the pics to get below 100kb's or it wont work.

I would sell the 4x4 and obtain a 2wd to lower it. You can sell the 4x4 for more and buy as 2wd for less. To switch the 4x4 over to a 2wd would cost you much more than just buying a 2wd to begin with. However, if you want to keep the 4wd and just lower it, I assume you can just use lowering blocks on all 4 corners to get it down. However, 4wd is heavy and will ruin your fuel economy. Why not just keep it stock and get into off roading?

Thanks the truck is in such good shape it is a factory ac cab it was orginally a 2 wheel drive I made it a 4 wheel drive it is now on a 79 frame 456 gears , 4 wheel disc brakes reverse shackle lift 3/4 ton springs no lift blocks. it is done right never seen mud very very clean.
