Talking FNG was a lurker now I am found!

Hey ya'll,

So I have been lurking on the boards for a couple of months and finally registered after aquiring my second pickup. The first one I bought is A '71 GMC SB 350V8, Th350 Trans, Edelbrock performer intake, Edelbrock 600 Carb, and custom dual Flowmaster 40 Dual Exhaust. I am currently putting the motor in as the PO installed a huge camshaft and ruined the other engine.

The second aquire is a 67' Chevy C20 Longbed. This thing is beefy. Has the original engine/Tranny. Only 119k original miles on it and 19k miles since rebuilt. Picked this one up as a project and semi donor truck. I have to rebuild the carb and find out why it has no brakes other than an empty master cylinder. Got this one for $500!

I lurk in the Northern NC Area and have seen a good share of these trucks that are beautiful. Ok done writing enjoy the pics cause what's a post without pics?

Welcome from Southeast Missouri.

Both of your trucks look great.

Enjoy your venture into 67-72 Chevy trucks.

Don't hesitate to post any questions you have about them. There are some great people on here that will be able to help.

"FNG"...Sounds like you've been hanging around the HAMB! You'll find that people aren't so quick to jump down your throat around here as they are over there.

Looks like you've got a great start to a project! Welcome aboard!

Welcome from Raleigh! As a '68 3/4 ton owner .. don't destroy the '67! Use it!

Check your brake lines and fittings. You probably have a blown line.

Re: FNG was a lurker now I am found!

Thanks for the welcome all... I am not too big a fan of the small back '67 I have but, I got it bc I couldn't pass it up. The '71 GMC is my first truck to get finished and the other will follow after. Getting ready to drop in the 350 into her and should have her on the road by the end of next week.
