Complete 67-72 chassis with pics

Just finished up another chassis that the customer took delivery of yesterday. Unlike most truck chassis's this one was set up for relatively stock height and was built to sit under all of the stock sheet metal. So no cutting of the bed floor on this build. As all our chassis's this one was 100% TIG welded and is built to last a lifetime. A chassis like this starts at $5,000 for a bare set-up less suspension. Here's a few pictures.

Thanks for looking

Looks great.

About my only concern would be the hiem on the axle side of the panhard bar. Hiem joints don't like "vertical" loading (up and down within the joint). They are designed for push/pull and rotational movement. Give it some time and that joint will pull thru.

Outside of that, very nice work.

Good catch.

a while back we spec'd a Heim end through Frajola that would handle x-amount of side load just for that reason. If for some reason that Heim end does fail it would require a redesign, and it would be our problem not our customers. So far no fails yet (fingers crossed).

That was my first thought.....I wouldn't trust it, even if is was spec'd to take a specific side load.

It apears that the "wheel-arounds", from Kuegl Komponents, only come with two bolt patterns 5x4.75 and 5x4.5.
I couldn't find anyone else that makes them.

Re: Complete 67-72 chassis with pics

How long does it take to make a setup like that? A month? And to think no one will see it after it's covered with S/M. Should have came with 4 - 6 FT long mirrors.
