Spring eye bolt removal ???
Ok Im in desperate need of a good trick.it took 4 sawzall blades to get one front spring of my blazer.I put a set of ranchos on a jeep before and burned the bushings out with a torch but these dont seem to want to burn any suggestions will be greatly apreciated

If you can locate new bolts, just cut the head and threads off and slide the spring out.

thanks ive got new bolts(nla from gm but i found some at an international big ol truck dealer)cutting grade 8 bolts is a real bear unless there is some kind of diamond tip sawzall blade im not aware of.

I was meaning, use the torch to cut the head/thread then slip the spring out. Manual labor isnt good!

I have had good success cutting harden bolts with a die grinder or 4 1/2 angle grinder and a cut off wheel. Torch sure will do it as well Ed ke6bnl

ill probably try the cutoff wheel tomorrow but im scared to get the torch that close to my shackles ive had to many WOOPS! with the torch before

I have used a skil saw with a metal cut off wheel(cheap at a hardware store) to remove spring bolts in the past, it worked much better & faster than a sawzall. If there's room for it. Good luck
