I pulled and installed mine with everthing but the carb. I like the lift plates that bolt to the manifold. You can leave the dizz in too. Just don't try to pull it with the trans attached. It's a pain because of the angle. It can be done but you are going to bang into a lot of stuff. That's easiest if the front clip is off...and if you have two guys. Someone can probably post a link where it is explained in detail. I'm just telling you that everthing can be left on including the exhaust manifolds. Just take a sawzall and cut the pipe at the collector.

Pulling both shouldn't be problem. Definitely take out the radiator if it's a good one. Dizzy caps are cheap, unless it's new I wouldn't bother. It will protect what might get bumped. If you can find a leveler attachment changing the angles will help a bunch. If you have room above jacking the front up will help with tranny clearance some. The only problem I see is the loader being a bit jerky. Probably bounce around and crash into stuff on the way up.

Find/buy a leveler and go slow. Piece of cake!

Re: step by step for pulling a th350/350ci...

Piece o' cake.

Here's a brief outline of how I've done it..........lotsa times:

Buy some beer.
Grab a friend to help.
Use a fine line marker, or a sharp pencil to mark the location of the hood hinges on the hood.
Put a moving pad, or an old blanket on the truck roof.
Unbolt the hood & with the help of the friend, set the hood on the roof.
Pull the radiator..........it's cheaper than punching a hole it it & then repairing, or buying a new one.
Disconnect everything holding the engine/tranny to the truck; wiring, fuel line, throttle linkage, motor & tranny mounts, tranny cooling lines from the tranny (you already disconnected 1 end from the radiator)
If the engine doesn't have the factory lifting thingies bolted to the intake manifold, go to the parts house & get a "carburetor" lifting plate (about 10-15$, you'll buy it once & use it forever) for the intake manifold & use it. That means you have to take off the carb.
Lift the motor & tranny out.
And now, for the important part...............Drink the beer.

Oh, yeah.....Have fun doing it.
Life is too short to fret about his kind of stuff.
