a few things that will help, good greased up tracks with new grease, relays, and a 100+ amp alternator

Re: High speed window motors??
What's the best grease to use on the regulator and gear? I'm replacing my motor right now and the regulator had some old dried up, black grease that was hindering the nylon wheels from moving freely. I have some black lithium grease. I know the white spray grease dries out quickly. Thoughts?

Re: High speed window motors??
I use garage door opener grease. Light and you don't need a lot. Plus it's in a can. You can use the straw to get in small places.

Re: High speed window motors??
Don't get a motor from Autozone! Their motors are crap.

Re: High speed window motors??
I have the same issue with my windows, I bet a good cleaning and some new lube will fix it up, what are the chances anyone took the time to do that in the last 22 years?

Re: High speed window motors??
Awhile back, and I can't remember which board it was on, someone was messing around with the idea adding a relay to the motor wiring to juice it up or something.

Re: High speed window motors??
I don't have a link, but it involves running heavy gauge 12v+ wire to each door. This supplies power to the up relay and the down relay. The factory switch wiring supplies the signal for the relays, which in turn supplies a full 12v to the window motor. Wiring is not my thing, so I hope I explained that right. It's my understanding, that with the factory setup, the window motors only get about 10v at best.

Re: High speed window motors??
there is also a thread on here about replacing the brushes in the factory motors, it apparently helps quite a bit.
I'll look around...... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=243042 http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...es#post2606708
