Re: How makes a good suspension drop kit?
there's couple different ways for the front there 3" spindles or 3" drop springs or 3" drop control arms and for the rear there is drop hangers and drop shackles, or 4" drop leafs, or removing a few leafs and drop shackles

Re: How makes a good suspension drop kit?
The Right way in my opinion is 3" spindles or 3" control arms in the front and shackles and hangers in the rear. If you still plan on using the truck to haul, I would not be removing leafs, IMO.

Re: How makes a good suspension drop kit?
Trust me, and others who have done it, do a 3" drop in front (or 4 w/ drop coils too), and a flip kit out back (5-6" drop). 99% of those who do a shackle/hanger drop usually want more drop, and there really isn't anything else you can do except remove leafs to gain add'l drop with this method.

Re: How makes a good suspension drop kit?
bigblock73 is right most who lower their trucks want more. Believe me I've done it twice. A 4/6 drop looks good and rides good too.IMO

Re: How makes a good suspension drop kit?
if you do a 6 in drop out back its just a flip kit right? do you have to c notch the frame? how well would a 4/6 drop ride with street performance shocks or nitro2's ive had the same question as far as drop goes and havent found any answers. For those of you with 4/6 drop how does it ride i live in arizona tucson to be exact and the streets arent too friendly with pot holes and what not.

Re: How makes a good suspension drop kit?
on the 6" flip kit I would do c-notch for a little extra clearance for hauling or in case you want to go a little lower and for the ride are the shocks for lowered applications and what size are the tires

Re: How makes a good suspension drop kit?
from what ive heard belltech is one of the best and i was gonna try and get a complete kit. the drop shocks they offer are nitro2s which are supposed to be a little better than stock and Street performance which are their best but if there is a better shock out there that im not seeing let me know. the tires are good year p275/60r17s for now. id like to go up to 20 inch coy c5's or something similar with 8.5 in front and 10 in back afterwards
