CST or Custom
When I washing my truck yesterday, I noticed two little bumps on both doors from where a CST or Custom badge used to be. Is there any way to tell which one was on there?

Re: CST or Custom
Ok, would it say anything if it was just a Custom?

Re: CST or Custom
I've got one, and mine says it on the glove box door: Option No. 4Z84XL CUSTOM SPORT TRUCK.

Re: CST or Custom
I think that there is a communication issue here. The SPID, on the inside of the glove box door, will have printed data that says it is a Custom Comfort and Appearance group, or it will be a Custom Sport Truck option. With the CST option, you'll also have the Custom Comfort and Appearance group as part of the CST option.
The other indicator is on the outside of the glove box door. The C-10/Custom will have it indicated on the lower right side of the front of the glove box door, as well as on each front fender.

Re: CST or Custom
My guess is.......if there is indication of two holes (about 4" apart) then the "CST" badge and if three holes (about 3 1/2" apart) then the "Custom" script.

Re: CST or Custom
There is only two holes, probably about 4 inches apart. I was looking in LMC, and in 67 and 68, there were badges that looked the same size and one said Custom and the other said CST. I didn't see anything about Custom Sport truck on my SPID, but it said Custom C&C Equip. Does that just mean its a regular Custom?

Re: CST or Custom
1968 Custom Comfort and Appearance Option, Z62, offers full depth foam seat cushion with woven fabric center panels, full-depth arm rests, padded visor on passenger side, cigar lighter, vinyl trim on doors with bright top retainer, cowl insulation and underbody coating. It also includes bright grill and headlight moldings, vent windows, parking brake cover, bright windshield moldings, rear window moldings, control knob inserts and "Custom" nameplate on the door. Also bright trim around hood and leading edge of fenders and Chevrolet nameplate on dispatch door.
The brochure states there is Custom Appearance Option and a Custom Comfort and Convenience Option but the GM Restoration Guide lists only Z62 as Custom Comfort and Appearance Option. Appearance was the all the bright work, nameplate, inserts on the knobs, color coded vinyl floor mats whereas the Comfort was the seat, arm rests, insulation, door panels, visor, cigar lighter, undercoating. Neither option lists the brake cover but it is listed in the combination option Z62 so who knows...LHM probably!

Re: CST or Custom
Thanks for you help guys. It seems it is probably just a Custom. I wish I cold have seen the truck when it was stock. Also, on the SPID, it says it has a "Camper Nameplate." What does that mean?

Re: CST or Custom
Your truck would be a Custom (based on what your spid says).

Re: CST or Custom
I believe the camper name plate in 68 was the rectangle on the fender reading "custom camper."
