busy today...

i think i did good....

1st time pullin a motor all i bent was the grille and rad. support....(we used front end loader....dad no good drivin lol)

didnt hurt the motor except dented the oil filter a lil.....no oil pan dizzy caps broke no nothin..

i pulled motor tranny with all accesorys still hooked up

and after that i rebuilt my edelbrock carb. for the 1st time ever....its all shiny and not grimy..idk how it ran it had so much junk in the bottom of carb lol....

then helped dad work on his 53' belair...we gota bet goin who can get there car runnin first...well mine runs i gota swap carbs before he gets his started lol...then goin to a lil car show for the 1st time in town together......no pix though guys...sorry

next: put trim back on and order sport mirrors...then put a 5 lug reraend in the truck and call it DONE for summer for being 16 ALMOST 17 and everything mostly self taught...(im in stupid electrical/construction electrives..gonna try to swtich this upcomming 11th junior year to auto mech.)..im pretty proud of myself

did power disc brake swap on my own
pulled motor on my own
rebuilt carb on my own
and ABUNCH of lil crap....these trucks are serious moneypits......i just love it too mcuh to think smart and buy a newere DD lol

sorry for the rant just happy im doing so much today lol

Good job, man.

I just started a complete switch from a pooched '72 1/2 ton frame to a solid '69 3/4 ton. Right now I have a rolling chassis and have the engine installed. It takes more time that it takes money, I find.

i got more time than smarts to do it with too lol

dang lol it took me bout 10 minutes to figure out how to loosen motor mounts lol i bout posted a 'how to' on here LOL

Bah, today is going to be spent moving my cab up to the back of my house so I can reach it with my welder. Then the weekend after next I start the metal work... Yay!!!
