I just recieved some new wiper arms and noticed the angle for the blades is different. My originals let the blades rest horizontally on the bottom of the windshield, resting on the rubber trim. The new ones require the blades to be a few inches up on the windshield to have the blades horizontal. I prefer the originals (or at least the ones originally on the truck).

Any idea if these were off a different truck?

Here's a pic of the originals (I lowered the passenger one a bit to match since this pic)

Mine were resting on the trim too until I took them off and moved them a few teeth up. They shouldn't (IMHO) rest on the rubber.

I set mine to rest a couple of inches off the rubber. If i set them to rest on the rubber they slap the rubber when in use. Don't be slappin yore rubber!

Sorry for not being more clear... they're on the windshield, just above the rubber trim. The key is the blades are parrellel to the bottom of windshield. I can't put the new arms that low as the blades would be crooked. With the new arms, they now have to be up a few inches on the windshield to be horizontal as the angle of the arms where the blades slide on are more bent (the can't be straightened).

It's not the end of the world, just liked them low on the windshield.
