Porterbuilt- Dropmember V3.2 & Control Arms- Till July 31

The Dropmember V3.2 is the latest addition to the Dropmember family! It’s round tube structure, strengthened and accented with CNC cut plate make it both structurally rigid and aesthetically pleasing. Other advantages of the new design include: a significant weight savings of just over 10lbs. from it’s predecessor ; and a sleeker, more custom appearance. The Dropmember V3.2 is constructed of 1.5” DOM tubing and .188 pickeled plate. Available for the C10 chassis years 1960-1987.

Dropmember V3.2-

dont know if there is a differnace but I have upper and lowers from a 88 suburban, I was told that suburbans 88-92 are the same as 87 trucks... the whole crossmember pretty much bolted to my 67 frame..

The 88-91 suburbans carried over the C10 front suspension. The suspension changed on the burbs in 92 when the body style changed. Those arms will bolt up just fine. The upper arm will have to trimmed a hair around the stamping where the bushings press on at the rear of the arms for clearance at the frame... just a little bit.

Re: Porterbuilt- Dropmember V3.2 & Control Arms- Till July 31

With the stage 2 kit, what else is needed besides the rack and pinion, shocks and bags? Is this system already setup to accept bags or will I have to modify? Is powder coating included in the price?

"Your arms" as in ART arms? or factory arms? The factory one ton arms will not bolt up to the DM, but the Strong Arms will. I can build you a set of lowers for the 1 ton ball joint, or modify a set of the Strong Arms if you are wanting to maintain the 1 ton spindle.

This system is designed specifically for air suspension, and the air bag will bolt right up.

If you already have control arms/spindles/and brakes, all that is left is the steering rack, bags and shocks.

Powdercoating is NOT included in this price.

Def maintaining the 1 ton spindle. Truck still gets used as a 1 ton. I can modify the arms here for the correct ball joints... Ill give you a shout in the next couple of days and see if we can get something together for this winter tear down.

Great Work PB, Just wanted to ask if you ever built your center crossmember (the one you have for the carrier bearing), for short wheel base trucks that only use one piece driveshafts. Better yet what do you sell for 60-66 trucks other than the front crossmembers. I only want to go the 4/6 route never really wanted to go any lower. I also read somewhere someone asked you about new trailing arms, are you doing them yet, if so let me know.

I am building the trailing arm x-member, and should have the trailing arms buttoned up here shortly. All the parts I am building cross from 63-87... EXCEPT for the hood hinge relocation kits, they are currently only available for 60-66 trucks.

As for parts I sell... I can take care of ALL your 60-87 truck needs!

You better not be holding out on me 'cause my PM & e-mail box doesn't have any mail from you w/some 'pre-release' pics (sound of foot tapping ground aggressively....).

Working on it! Or let me re-phrase that... working on getting to that project! It will most likely be a little bit longer. I need to finish the trailing arms (extremely close) and then the hood hinges.

Are you working on 67-72 hood hinges? Forgive me if that info is posted elsewhere, I just saw that you were working on "the hinges". If you are, post some details or point me to it. I'm extremely interested in ANYTHING different.

Yes I am. I have been extremely busy filling orders on the other products, and trying to balance the development of new ones. I just buttoned up the final touches on some dropped trailing arms, and am now getting back on the hinges. Look for some pics this month!
