Re: WIW: used manifolds and distributor

The manifolds make great boat anchors. I just threw 2 away. Didn't want to mess with them. You see them on ebay and craigslist. Guys can't seem to give them away. I'm sure I'll get flack but it's like trying to sell used spark plugs.

Before you get too carried away though......run the casting numbers and see what they come back as. I've seen some crazy, rare things on everyday motors. My 68 turd of a 3/4 ton custom camper can with a BBC that wound up having a bunch of 67 Corvette stuff on it which I sold on eBay for lots O money. My motto is always run the numbers then throw away.

Re: WIW: used manifolds and distributor

Don't sell the distributor. Take it apart, weld a nut on the end, and make a fresh engine oil primer out of it.

The other thing you can to with the distributor is the take and sharpen the end to a fine point. Keep it around for the next time you see a werewolf. It seems to work better than the silver bullets. You must stike them firmly in the gall bladder.
