50th anniversary question

I'm sorry if this is a redundant subject but I tried the search and could'nt really find anything. How can I tell if if its a 50th ann. I thought I saw somewhere that the paint codes are they way you tell. How do I know if its a real 50th is the basic question I'm asking...

Re: 50th anniversary question

Post a picture of your glovebox SPID. It should have 551 for the paint code....

Re: 50th anniversary question

yep... real deal. Is the seat and dash pad still in good shape? How about the visors? Those are the only 50th specific parts in reality... that and the paint.
Off topic, are the wheels still the original 6 lug 16 inch ones? Those are worth a few bucks.

Re: 50th anniversary question

the seat is falling apart but doesnt really have any tears but it is really faded, and the dash has a nice crack in it and the visors, well there fine but idk how I feel about gold vinyl lol. I'm not sure on the wheels, I can measure them in the morning and see...

Re: 50th anniversary question

that gold trim inside is what makes a 50th a 50th.
As for the wheels, no need to measure, just read the side of the tire... it'll give the size on it.
