Ac problem with my 1972 chevy truck

My ac blows cold air when i have it parked but when you start driving i get hot air coming out the vents when i stop at a light it starts blowing cold air again has anybody had this problem before

Sounds like maybe flapper door isn't closing or something. Hopefully someone will have more info on it.

Sorry I don't. I'm not familair with the 67-72 trucks. I'm sure someone will chime in and help you out with more info. This site is full of great info.

The flapper door is located under the cowl on the passenger side just under the pass side wiper.

sound.s like a vacuume problem check to see if youre vac canaster is holdind vacuume.and check the hot water valve to see if it is closing all the way. ir vacuume is lost the system will defalr to defroster.

I agree with the Vac problem... however, these trucks won't defult to the defroster vents. Those doors and flappers are all manual on these.
