Petey, the below link has some info on the kickdown. Hopefully others will join in and help locate a switch.

isnt it more effective if you set it up on the throttle linkage?

Re: Turbo 400 kickdown switch "Where Can I get one"
I see people paying WAY too much for used ones. If you can't find one in a salvage yard off a 3/4 or 1ton (gm used the 400 well into the 80's) for cheap, I say you're just not looking.lol! A new gm switch is $29 in the Ground Up catolog. Check your local dealer and compare price.

Yeah they are available part No. 1242101. gmpartsdirect.com has them but your Chevy dealer can get them as well.

I have the Lokar switch. About $80 bucks from Jegs. Nice piece and easy install.

Re: Turbo 400 kickdown switch "Where Can I get one"
Petey, I bought mine a little while ago from one of our board vendors...Wes at Classic Hearbeat...give him a bell...I just emailed him and told him which switch I needed, I have the same type as yours. I even bought the Stator switch on the side of the Trany as well from him...just incase.
