WHO HAS SEEN THIS SPID OPTION ! please thanks
literally trying to solve a decades mystery. Not looking for a million post count thread so if you have a answer or something close post it up.
anyone else ever seen a spid with this option listed? If so do you have a pic or code ? Front axle conversion on a 20 series 72. This label is stuck on top of spid but looks the same on the right side close to the bottom. Ok I am not crazy.. At leaset not in this respect. I have seen it I also noticed it on a picture someone posted of a SPID at one time althought the picture was posted for another reason maybe parts? or to point out another option listed or a collection of Spid post ?? I can't see any pics as my work computer blocks them all. however.. I will paypal $10.00 to the first person who finds the pic and links to it or copy paste it here Cash money !! Re: WHO HAS SEEN THIS SPID OPTION ! please thanks
Not a chance on the Corvette option...but I think it might have been a COPO SS option. Had one on my truck but spilled some Starbucks on the SPID, mice made a nest out of the build sheets and I scrapped the truck not knowing it was so rare!
Free bump for ya!

The is no RPO with the description that contains front axle conversion. F43 - F55 deal with front axles. F59 - F98 deal with front suspension. but again no mention of the word conversion.

Re: WHO HAS SEEN THIS SPID OPTION ! please thanks
The SPID option # might help.I have a Red Book(notorius for being incomplete) that lists several.
F43 Front axle 9000# F44 Front axle 11000# F47 Front Axle 7000# F49 Heavy Duty four wheel drive front axle(K20) F54 Front axle 12000# F41 suspension, power disc brakes were standard but F41 was standard only with 454ci or 402 ci engines. It could be purchased at aditional cost with the other V-8's That's all the info it gives and accuracy should be taken with a grain of salt.

Re: WHO HAS SEEN THIS SPID OPTION ! please thanks
Here is a photo of a SPID on a K-20 Fire-Truck. On the lower left side of the label it reads 9502BA Front Axle Unit. I suspect this is what you have seen before. Notice the G80 No-Spin Rear and the 9501BB Posi tract axle and then the 9502BA Front Axle Unit mentioned earlier. This clearly related to the front posi option.
