Boyd Coddington wheels?

I have a 67 C10 LWB that I'm in the process of redoing. We have the 2 1/2" drop in the front & 4" in the rear. I have a chance to get some boyd Coddington wheels. The wheels are:

Boyd Coddington Smoothie II Polished Aluminum Wheels 17x8 6 Lug Will Fit Chevrolet Pickup 235/50R-17 Kumho Tires. How will or will these work on the lowered truck? I can get the set for $900. I'm assuming this is a good deal? Thanks for any info! Howard

PS Just read where Boyd died yesterday at 63.

Body did die yesterday, if yesterday were February 27, 2008.

Oh, the wheels should be fine. a 2/4 drop isn't much at all.

Re: Boyd Coddington wheels?

Just make sure they fit try them on first if pos. I've been looking at diff wheel tire combo's for awhile now, and it's a crazy venture seems like if the witdh is right the bolt circle is wrong. Then if the bolt circle is right the height is crazy wrong. I don't now why you just can't call a tire company and say this is what I want (make it) same with rim's. Good luck and show us pictures

Talking Re: Boyd Coddington wheels?

When we took off the rotors on the front, I took 1 of them with me tonight to make sure the wheels would fit. They fit perfect so I bought the wheels & tires & brought them home.
