Bias Ply wide white?
Does anyone know of a good supplier of these? Any experience or comments about bias ply tires?
I really would like some White walls, but honestly I can't afford radial wide whites. I've heard that Bias ply WWW's are much cheaper, but have some downsides. any thoughts? Jon

Bias ply tires aren't really any cheaper than radials. Some are even more expensive. Coker tires is the best plae to get bias ply tires from in my experience. As far as downsides to bias plies, they don't ride as smooth as radials. But, like anything else, you get used to it. You trade off looks for comfort. But it's not really that bad. They used them for decades before radials were commonplace.

It may sound terrible but there are white wall rings you can apply to your wheels also tire paint. Would doubt they would last though.

Re: Bias Ply wide white?
Usually bias wide whites are much cheaper then radial wide whites.. If you take into consideration that the radials last longer it pretty much equals out..
I have ran bias ply on several of my past projects and I didnt think they rode that bad.. You notice the most when you hit a pothole or go over rough railroad tracks.. They do tend to follow ruts on the highway though. Just be aware of that.. You should be paying attention while driving anyway |

Re: Bias Ply wide white?
My WWW's were $180 a piece through Coker. Bias-ply 7.50-15 is what I am running. I don't really notice the rough ride. Of course I still have manual steering and brakes, so my mind is focused on other things than the actual ride.
